Dr. Shakil Ahmed has been working as a Health Systems Analyst at the the Nossal Institute for Global Health, Australia. He has 14 years research experience and worked at the ICDDR,B and UNFPA Bangladesh. He did his PhD and MPH from Tulane University, USA. Dr. Ahmed is a physician and completed MBBS from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. His field of interest is health care financing research and policy oriented health systems research. He has a number of international publications and technical reports in the same area. Currently Dr. Shakil is a team member of the Health Policy and Health Finance Knowledge Hub, an AusAID initiative. He has been involved in health financing policy research studies in collaboration with Ministries of Health (Cambodia and Lao PDR), donor agencies and other regional research partners.
