Amenla Nuken works as a researcher officer and assists in research and documentation of the HIV epidemic in Mainpur and Nagaland with the North East Knowledge Network Grant. She has a background in Anthropology (M.Sc) and Population studies (M.Phil), with experience in community-based/ethnographic research, tool development and data collection/analysis (both qualitative and quantitative). She also has experience with large scale, national and state level surveys of repute, like National Family Health Survey (NFHS), District Level Household and facility Survey on Reproductive and Child Health (DLHS-RCH) and joint UN project CHARCA -'Community-based HIV/AIDS/STD Response through Capacity-building and Awareness’ at the capacity of coordinating, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, report writing and dissemination.
