THE NOSSAL INSTITUTE

Development practice and program management

The Nossal Institute's program management capacity combines strong project management and technical expertise in all aspects of the program cycle including needs assessment, design, monitoring and evaluation, and implementation. Our quality assurance system reflects inclusive development principles and our approach aims to build management and organisational capacity amongst our program partners. Activities include management of all the Institute's major projects and research activities, institutional strengthening of partners including building leadership and program management capacity at the National Hospital of Paediatrics, Hanoi, evaluations such as the Aceh Partnerships in Health, Indonesia, and assessments such as HIV prevention in India and progress against MDGs 4 and 5 in India and Nepal. The team also undertakes short-term consultancies for donors, Non-Government Organisations and UN organisations: for example designing the Children Citizenship Rights Program (Cambodia) for Save the Children, and baseline assessment and evaluation of a maternal and child health project in North Korea for the World Health Organization.
