Why it Worked
Reducing self-stigma for PLHIV was one of the OSD Project's major successes. "For me, it [understanding stigma and discrimination] was very educational because I come from a broken family and I have a father who is a drug addict. I do not discriminate against people because I have an understanding. Since the day they showed us the DVD there was some kind of inner feeling. People used to ignore us and did not like to include us. I spoke in the church about all of these things. Most of the people, the youth, now try and interact more."
