This case study focuses on the establishment and implementation of a youth friendly health service (YFHS) in Aceh province in Indonesia, a conservative province where Syariah Law has made the delivery of sexual reproductive health and HIV prevention services challenging. The program was first established as a small scale pilot project through Aceh Partnerships in Health (APiH) in December 2005 in the post-tsunami relief and rehabilitation efforts.

Case Study - Harm reduction services that are youth friendly in Vietnam, WHO in Vietnam (2008)Vietnam Case Study

The model of harm reduction for young injecting drug users in Viet Nam was documented for WHO in Viet Nam. The case study documented a unique HIV prevention model of service that had successfully re-oriented general harm reduction interventions to a youth focus.

This also involved: reviewing and analyzing existing data on most-at-risk adolescents in Vietnam and making recommendations to inform the ongoing work of the Government and UN agencies.
